What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL A Flatbed Driver Home Weekends No Forced Dispatch position at Blue Ridge Haulers?
Stop chasing miles and start earning a percentage of the load. We are seeking professional Flatbed drivers for regional runs hauling steel and coils. If you have the experience to secure heavy loads, we have the pay and the home time to match your skill.
COMPENSATION & BONUSES
Performance Pay: 27% of the gross load.
Weekly Average: $1,500 $1,600 (higher potential for OTR).
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus:
$1,500 after your first successful delivery.
$1,500 at the 6-month milestone.
$2,000 at your 1-year anniversary.
Fully Paid Extras: Tarping, Layover, Detention, and Breakdown time are all compensated.
SCHEDULE & EQUIPMENT
Home Time: Home Every Weekend. (Out Monday, back Friday night or Saturday morning).
Regional Route: 5-state radius (Optional OTR available for those wanting higher earnings).
The Fleet: Assigned late-model KW T680 or Freightliner Cascadia (Automatic).
Tech: Trucks are fully equipped with EZ Pass and Pre Pass.
Company Policy: Pets and Riders allowed from Day One.
FREIGHT & LOGISTICS
Commodities: Primarily Steel and Coils.
Tarping: Approximately 4050% of loads require tarping.
Orientation: 100% covered travel (flight, rental, or fuel), plus hotel and meals provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
License: Valid Class A CDL and at least 21 years old.
Experience: 1 year of recent OTR (within last 5 years) AND 6 months of flatbed experience hauling steel, coils, or pipes.
Safety: Maximum 1 at-fault accident & 3 moving violations (last 3 years).
No major violations or safety-related terminations.
Must pass DOT urine test (No SAP / No failed or refused tests).
Stability: Maximum 5 jobs in the last 3 years to remain eligible for the bonus.
