What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL-A Driver -Dry Van - No Touch Freight position at Blue Ridge Haulers?
Looking for steady OTR miles with newer equipment? This position runs freight to all 48 states (mostly along and east of I-35) on a 12-days-out, 2-days-home schedule, with no touch freight and roughly 55% drop and hook.
Earning Potential
- $1,300 to $1,750 per week, depending on experience and how hard you run
- $0.54 to $0.60 CPM based on experience
- 2,300 to 3,000 miles per week on average
- $2,000 sign-on bonus: $500 after your first load, then $500 at the 30, 60, and 90-day marks
Equipment
- 2022 and newer Freightliner Cascadias, equipped with APU and inverter
On the Road
- Bring a rider and a pet along starting day one
- Take your truck home with you during your time off
- Full benefits including medical, 401K, and vacation start after 30 days
Minimum Requirements
- 3 months of verifiable Class A experience (OTR, Regional, or Local); trainer time, driving school, and yard jockey work do not count
- No failed or refused DOT drug/alcohol tests, ever (SAP not accepted)
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, no more than 2 in the last 2 years, and none major in the last 12 months
- No safety-related terminations from your current or most recent job in the last 6 months
- Clean accident history with no major preventable CMV incidents in recent years
- No more than one DUI ever, and never behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle
