Job Title: SPED Aide II - 35 hours per week
FLSA: Non-Exempt-hourly
TITLE: SPED Aide II
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Special Education experience preferred.
- Valid Fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ DPS.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, staff and the public.
- Master Teacher’s ParaEducator Certificate
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: To contribute to effective school/public relations by prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries with students, staff and the public. Promote a positive, uplifting atmosphere for our school.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Life Skills (including dealing with female/male puberty).
- Nursing/keeping medications schedules, watching for signs of seizures and proper use of medical equipment.
- Safety of Medically fragile children.
- Communication and cooperation with general education teachers and parents.
- Sign Language
- Diapering, feeding, potty training, hygiene.
- Full time supervision of students.
- Paperwork/documentation as requested by teachers.
- Escorting students to and from the buses.
- Other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 month position, 35 hours per week.
EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the Governing Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
Salary : $19
