Blue Ridge Eating Disorder Care Center is a specialized residential treatment program dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents and adults with eating disorders. We are seeking a clinically strong, compassionate, and organized Weekend Clinical Supervisor to serve as the on-site clinical leader every Saturday and Sunday. This position is ideal for a master's-level clinician who enjoys leadership, values teamwork, and is passionate about helping individuals recover from eating disorders.

Position Summary

The Weekend Clinical Supervisor serves as the clinical leader for the residential program on weekends, ensuring continuity of care while supporting patients, staff, and families.

This role provides clinical oversight of weekend programming, serves as the primary point of contact for clinical decision-making, facilitates therapy groups, provides individual therapy and meal support, collaborates closely with nursing and residential staff, and helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment throughout the weekend.

The ideal candidate is confident, collaborative, calm under pressure, and enjoys balancing direct patient care with clinical leadership responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities of Clinical Leadership:

• Provide on-site clinical leadership throughout the weekend.
• Support therapists, Eating Disorder Support Specialist staff, and nursing with clinical decision-making and patient care.
• Respond to clinical concerns, behavioral escalations, and crisis situations.
• Ensure consistent implementation of treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with the On-Call leadership as needed for higher-level clinical or operational concerns.

Therapeutic Responsibilities:

• Facilitate therapeutic process groups and psychoeducational groups.
• Provide individual therapy sessions as assigned.
• Complete clinical documentation in accordance with program standards.
• Participate in treatment planning and communicate significant clinical updates to the interdisciplinary team.
• Support patients during therapeutic meals and snacks using evidence-based meal support interventions.

Family Communication

• Serve as the clinical contact for weekend family concerns and questions.
• Provide appropriate updates and support while maintaining therapeutic boundaries.
• Partner with patients and families to promote treatment engagement and continuity of care.

Program Operations

• Oversee weekend programming to ensure consistency with weekday treatment.
• Maintain a therapeutic, structured, and recovery-focused environment.
• Coordinate with nursing, psychiatry, dietary services, and residential staff.
• Prepare a comprehensive weekend handoff for weekday leadership.

Safety & Crisis Management

• Complete risk assessments as indicated.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral or psychiatric emergencies.
• Ensure program policies and safety procedures are consistently followed.
• Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Pennsylvania licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) preferred; pre-licensed or license-eligible clinicians are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working in behavioral health, residential treatment, or eating disorder treatment preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to make sound decisions independently.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Passion for working with individuals recovering from eating disorders.
