Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Yoga Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in yoga practices and be able to create a welcoming environment for young women with eating disorders. This role involves leading group classes on a weekly basis for the children in our program. The Yoga Instructor will play a vital role in enhancing the experience for our clients while fostering a sense of community within the program. Non-diet, non-weight loss, gentle movement is our focus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct group yoga classes tailored to beginner skill levels, ensuring safety and proper alignment.
- Design and implement innovative yoga sessions that cater to the diverse needs of participants.
- Provide personalized guidance and modifications to enhance individual practice.
- Engage with clients to build relationships.
- Stay updated on current trends in yoga, anatomy, physiology, eating disorders, trauma, and body mechanics.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Yoga Instructor from an accredited program is required.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics as they relate to yoga practice.
- Experience in group fitness instruction or personal training is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire participants.
- Previous experience in mental health backgrounds will be advantageous.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of mental health.
