What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct - Dual Enrollment Math position at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College?
Blue Ridge Community and Technical College is seeking part-time, as needed adjunct faculty members to teach college-level mathematics courses in the School of Workforce and Engineering Technology.
Providing classroom and laboratory instruction for high school sections of college-level mathematics.
Instructors needed for:
- MATH 100 – Math Essentials
- MATH 100A – Algebra Essentials
- MATH 101-- Introduction to Mathematics
- MATH 105 –Algebra
Adjuncts are specifically needed to work with high school students in our dual enrollment programs in Berkeley County, Jefferson County, and Morgan County.
Times/locations needed:
Headquarters Main Campus
Tuesday, Thursday: 8 am – 9:10 am
Tuesday, Thursday: 9:20 am – 10:30 am
Pines Opportunity Center (Morgan County)
Tuesday, Thursday: 1:15 pm – 2:30 pm
Education- Bachelors’ degree or higher in mathematics or mathematics education or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in teaching mathematics at the secondary or college level. Teaching experience in a community college setting is preferred, and experience with online instruction is a plus though not specifically required for this position.
- Strong computer skills are required due to intensive use of online mathematics course management system. This does not exclude anyone willing to learn.
- Must be able to work onsite with students and with Blackboard, our online learning management system when outside the classroom.

Adjunct pay dependent on degree level.
