Warehouse Associate (Mid-shift)

Schedule: Mon - Fri 9AM - 5PM

Pay: $19/hr

Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc., located in Central and Southwest VA, is a large beverage distribution company seeking a full-time WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE (MID).

The individual in this position will be responsible for safely picking, moving, and loading our beverage products onto our delivery trucks. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager (Night).

DUTIES

• Accurately receive and check in products from in-bound shipments, using computerized route accounting system.
• Move product from receiving to assigned bin locations using powered equipment.
• Keep assigned area clean, organized, neat and stocked, while ensuring proper rotation of product.
• Assist with building pallets of products for transfers.
• Assist with inventory counts by participating in weekly, monthly, or annual inventory cycles.
• Adhere to strict safe working practices and company policies.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Previous experience with computerized warehousing preferred.
• Demonstrated experience using a forklift, or electric pallet jack experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The following list of physical requirements are required to perform the entire job: standing; walking; sitting; stooping; fine finger and hand manipulation; speaking clearly; hearing to be able to maintain conversation; seeing to be able to read and to drive a vehicle; and lifting, moving, and carrying 25-40 lbs. repetitively, and occasionally up to 170 lbs. when handling kegs. Must be able to bend, lift, carry, climb, stoop and stack product using a hand truck or electric pallet jack.
