The Patient Service Representative shall promote a high level of customer service. They shall cultivate a safe and caring environment always acting in the best interest of patients. They are responsible to assist patients in scheduling and registering for appointments, to receive and document accurate information from patients, answer incoming phone calls, record phone messages, direct calls to appropriate personnel, request medical records and represent Blue Ridge Associates in Neurology in an ethical and compassionate manner.

They are responsible to assist patients in scheduling and registering for appointments, to receive and document accurate information from patients, answer incoming phone calls, record phone messages, direct calls to appropriate personnel, request medical records and represent Blue Ridge Associates in Neurology in an ethical and compassionate manner.
Responsibilities of the Patient Service Representative include the following:
- Greet and check in patients with a gracious and helpful attitude
- Assist patients with paperwork needs, completion of registration process and verification of benefits
- Schedule patients promptly while communicating with all staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Help escort patients to treatment area placing them in a comfortable environment
- Collect copays and receive payments from patients accurately
- Receive and enter orders accurately and completely
- File records and documents, such as chart notes, labs, diagnostic tests, and other information accurately and in a timely manner
- Facilitate open and closing procedures including, but not limited to, turning on lights, music, water wall, televisions, tablets, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of office, reception, waiting area, restrooms and break area including trash removal
- Stock and restock patient treatment, patient refreshment area and provider break area
- Assist provider and other personnel with cleaning treatment areas throughout and at the end of the day including trash removal
- Support other personnel with medical and non-medical supply order requirements
- Assist with audits and quality assurance functions.
- Reporting to the partners or their designee in a prompt, efficient manner with the proper disposition. This may include participation in routine management meetings, training oversight, reporting, and coordination with other departments or personnel.
- Other projects, activities, or responsibilities assigned at the discretion of the partners or their designee.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of software applications and familiarity with MS Office, electronic health records, internet, and mobile applications
- A friendly personality with good people skills including team collaboration
- Excellent written communication skills

Salary : $15 - $18
