As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Food Bank's mission by ensuring the smooth receiving, storage, and distribution of food products. This position includes packing orders, unloading deliveries, re-packing food products, operating warehouse equipment safely, and general maintenance and clean-up. Required Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or distribution experience, including order selection duties.
- At least 6 months' experience safely operating motorized equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and stand-up riders.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally in a safe and proper manner.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with volunteers, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to work cooperatively with volunteers and staff, pay close attention to detail, and work independently.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new data applications.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Full-time on-site position with excellent benefits, generous PTO, and eligibility for 12 paid holidays
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
