Summary of Position:
Under the direction of the Director of Operations for Blue Ridge Academy, this position is responsible for student, parents, and staff in enrollment, compliance, and maintenance of student information. The Compliance Specialist will maintain records in the Student Information System (SIS), including but not limited to updating, programing, and troubleshooting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Responsibilities to school and staff
A. Attends all required meetings and trainings
B. Completes all work thoroughly
C. Manages time effectively to meet all necessary deadlines
D. Response to all calls and emails in a timely manner. Expectation of 24 business hours
E. Support teachers and parents by troubleshooting operational processes and procedures
F. Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records in the SIS
G. Process new/returning students information accurately and efficiently
H. Responsible in approving/rejecting all auditable documents in the SIS
I. Work with various departments to ensure data is accurate
J. Able to support sectors of the SIS
K. Maintain confidentiality of information
L. May be on the computer for up to 8 hours per day
II. Responsibilities to department

Qualifications:
- Two to three years of relevant work experience
- Ability and comfort in working in a fast-paced, virtual environment, with a demonstrated ability and desire to flexibility shift responsibilities over time as the role and department evolve.
- Excellent analytical and data-based decision making skills
- Strong customer service orientation in approach to working with teachers, school administrators and families.
- Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of technology and technological platforms including but not limited to: Google
Suite (Gmail, Excel, Google Docs/Word, Google Forms), Microsoft OS platform.
- Professional etiquette with regards to technology use.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in virtual education settings.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team member, work independently, and be self-motivated.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp new techniques, deal with rapid changes and events, and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Promote a positive atmosphere.
- Demonstrate flexibility in the workplace.
Education:
- Associate degree required or Higher

Work Environment:
This position is a remote position in which the employee will work from home. Some travel will be required.
