Job Summary

Blue Ribbon Home Warranty is a leading provider of home warranty services, dedicated to protecting homeowner's by offering comprehensive coverage for home systems and appliances.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and administrative tasks to ensure accurate financial records.

Duties

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records for accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions including invoice entry, payment processing, and customer billing
  • Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts and customer payments to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements and aging reports for management review
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer contracts, renewals and cancellations in the company accountying system
  • Verify and process claims payments to contractors and service providers in accordance with warranty contract
  • Respond to customer and vendor inquiries regarding payments, invoices and account statuses in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized financial records

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero or similar).
  • Understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
  • Knowledge of financial services including budgeting and credit analysis is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
