Job Summary
Blue Ribbon Home Warranty is a leading provider of home warranty services, dedicated to protecting homeowner's by offering comprehensive coverage for home systems and appliances.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and administrative tasks to ensure accurate financial records.
Duties
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records for accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions including invoice entry, payment processing, and customer billing
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts and customer payments to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements and aging reports for management review
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer contracts, renewals and cancellations in the company accountying system
- Verify and process claims payments to contractors and service providers in accordance with warranty contract
- Respond to customer and vendor inquiries regarding payments, invoices and account statuses in a timely and professional manner
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized financial records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero or similar).
- Understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
- Knowledge of financial services including budgeting and credit analysis is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
