Job Summary:
The Equipment Manager is responsible for the overall support of the field operations. They will help coordinate and execute all site logistics including towing loaded trailers, loading and unloading, repairs and maintenance for tools and equipment, and tracking/logging/inventory for all construction tools and equipment, vehicles, trailers, site waste disposal, and materials pick-ups and deliveries.
Outcomes:
- Blue Ribbon tools are all inventoried and maintained by keeping the Blue Ribbon tool inventory up to date when tools go in and out of the 4plex and at the completion of jobs. Manages all the flow of tools in and out of 4plex.
- The 4plex always has a spare of every tool on the Blue Ribbon standard trailer inventory in case of tool breakdown.
- Perform and manage/support Driver and Equipment Tech in regular maintenance, repair, cleaning, and fueling of Blue Ribbon equipment, vehicles, and trailers to keep everything in good operating condition and up to company standards to fulfill safety and operational needs.
- Perform and manage/support Driver and Equipment Tech to get any tool that breaks down repaired or replaced within 3 weeks.
- Work with and fill in for Driver to ensure all material needed and supply pick-ups and deliveries are scheduled and coordinated to ensure items are received on schedule.
- Work with and fill in for Driver to ensure all job sites will be clean, with at least weekly trash pickup and delivery to landfill.
- Maintain, manage and operate Mini Excavator with Driver and Equipment tech.
- Maintain documentation as needed for all the above and create operating procedures for Blue Ribbon Operations
Assist the President by ensuring all operational support is coordinated and completed on time for efficient and cost-effective site operations and equipment management. Proactively identify needs and ensure all tools and equipment are always in top working order.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Safe Lifting: Use proper lifting techniques when moving lumber and other materials. Always ask for assistance when moving heavy items.
- PPE: Wear personal protective gear such as ear protection, safety glasses, and gloves at all times on the job.
- Safety Management: proven track record of maintaining safe work environment, including driving safely in adverse weather conditions.
- Safety Management: Current OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Equipment: Must have a basic understanding of construction tools, equipment and materials and their uses.
- Load Securing/Rigging: Must have knowledge in properly loading trailers and securing/strapping loads/equipment.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Four-year construction-related degree, such as construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Driving: Must have a current, valid Driver’s License. Must have a clean driving record for the last 3 years
- Experience: Construction industry experience preferred
- Experience: Must have prior experience with operating equipment such as all-terrain forklifts and skid steers and be able to load and transport equipment
- Equivalent: A combination of technical training, education, and/or related experience will be considered in fulfilling the above requirements
