BLUE PLANET is an Oahu based surf / paddle board brand located on the North Shore in Hale'iwa at the end of the Rainbow Bridge. We're looking to hire one or two part time employees to work the sales floor in "The Boardroom" .
Our Hale'iwa surf shop is focused on hard good sales with an emphasis on stand up paddle boards, surfboards and all related accessories. We specialize in providing excellent customer service and our mission is to help people have more fun on the water. Our shop engages with walk in customers and we also "talk shop" over the phone, and the World Wide Web.
We're looking for a hard-working, responsible individual who ideally has prior work experience in sales, and is enthused about working in the surf / paddle board industry. As a new employee, you will be trained to handle job duties including but not limited to: advising customers about our products and services, in person, over the phone or by email, managing shipments, providing niche information to shoppers, helping customers find the perfect board, working with your hands, sizing and gluing paddles, creating brand content, etc.
Starting pay is based upon experience, with the potential for increase in pay when fully trained and reliable. Sales bonuses available when completing board sales and reaching weekly / monthly sales goals. Bonus for surfboard rentals also available upon completion of training.
