Responsibilities
As a Deckhand you’ll be part of the crew that makes the adventure possible:
- Set up & break down paddle boards, kayaks, and rental gear each day
- Deliver high-quality customer service and aloha spirit to our guests
- Use the FareHarbor booking app to complete rental transactions
- Provide complimentary SUP instruction to first-time paddlers
- Maintain safety on the river and help guests feel confident on the water
- Stay tuned in to team communications via Slack
What We’re Looking For
- Outgoing, positive energy — you love being around people
- Comfort in and around the ocean (SUP experience a plus, but we’ll train you)
- Reliability — on time, prepared, and a solid team player
- Willingness to lift, rack, and maintain equipment
- A natural problem-solver with a customer-first mindset
Bonus Points If You:
- Have lifeguard, CPR, or first aid certification
- Have ocean/surf/boating experience
- Bring creative skills (photography, social media, storytelling, etc.)
Job Details
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: Hale‘iwa, O‘ahu
- Schedule: Flexible — weekdays, weekends, and ability to cover corporate/private tours
