What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist - NDT Level III position at Blue Origin, LLC?

Responsibilities: Coordinate with relevant design teams to optimize inspection of hardware including GTAW weldments, laser welded hardware, additive manufactured components and castings Create manufacturing and in-service NDT procedures and methods Must be willing to inspect production hardware for acceptance as required Design reference standards for complex inspections Review and approve drawings to identify correct NDT method is applied Develop NDT inspection plans and sequencing Support Probability of Detection (POD) studies Assist with interpretation of inspection results Conduct internal and external process audits to ensure engineering requirements are being met Review/approve internal and supplier inspection techniques Assist with the development and maintenance of company NDT certification plan including training of Level 1 and 2 inspectors per NAS 410 requirements Qualifications: 10 years performing NDT level III duties in a manufacturing environment Prior or current Level 3 certification in Ultrasonics PAUT and immersion 10 years developing NDT inspection plans, techniques, and procedures Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering or a physical science and/or equivalent training and experience as an NDT engineer 15 years’ cumulative NDT experience Experience in Shearography or Radiography inspections a plus Experience developing/assisting in POD studies Third party IRRSP certification Experience in low-mid rate production environment, preferably in aerospace Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including casting, welding, additive manufacturing, and composites fabrication Export Control Regulations Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
