Position Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and safety-conscious Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Facility Manager, this critical, hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the optimal operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of the facility and all manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with proven expertise across multiple trades, precise troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to maintaining rigorous preventative maintenance schedules.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Oversee and perform comprehensive general maintenance and repairs across the following disciplines: electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and general mechanical maintenance.
  • Expertly install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial mechanical and electrical equipment and control systems.
  • Conduct thorough, regular preventative maintenance on all assets. Ensure meticulous completion and accurate record-keeping of all PM schedules and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Manager and execute hands-on maintenance and site repairs related to facility improvement. Inspect grounds and buildings daily to identify, minimize and correct hazardous property conditions or liability concerns.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date inventory of critical tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies to prevent downtime.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, orderly, and secure work environment with a "SAFETY FIRST" mindset. Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and comply with all applicable standards, policies, and OSHA regulations.
  • Adhere to the assigned work schedule (attendance and punctuality) and maintain flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed for repairs and emergencies.

Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in industrial mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the multi-trade requirements of the position, including practical skills in electrical systems, plumbing, welding, and carpentry.
  • Strong ability to diagnose problems, prioritize urgent repair tasks, and multi-task effectively to meet production deadlines.
  • Strong ability to take direction, work productively with teams, and perform tasks effectively with the appropriate level of self-direction.
  • Commitment to maintaining and wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Additional Desired Qualifications


  • Specific knowledge and experience maintaining HVAC systems.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions


  • Ability to stand, walk, crouch, and bend frequently throughout the entire shift, including the ability to climb stairs.
  • Ability to work in varied environmental conditions (heat and cold) as temperatures may vary within the facility.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
