After more than 10 years of rapid development, Blue Ocean Inc has established mature and stable automated cargo distribution and return procedures. Currently, we have distribution centers in OR, CA, DE, NH, TN, PA, FL, and TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily returns operations and ensure all workflows run efficiently.
- Plan staffing, work schedules, and daily assignments based on business volume and operational priorities.
- Ensure returned products are accurately received, inspected, tested, graded, processed, and recorded.
- Monitor department KPIs, including productivity, accuracy, turnaround time, backlog, quality rate, attendance, and labor cost.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical process improvements.
- Ensure employees follow SOPs, quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, quality issues, product damage, and customer complaints; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop supervisors, team leaders, employees, and temporary staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and manage attendance, discipline, and performance improvement plans.
- Review and approve leaders’ timekeeping records to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Control labor costs, overtime, operational expenses, and waste.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with Warehouse, Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, IT, Finance, staffing agencies, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
- Prepare operational reports, staffing plans, KPI analyses, and improvement recommendations for senior management.
Job Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese.
- 5 years of relevant experience in returns, warehouse, electronics repair/refurbishment, manufacturing, or logistics operations, including 2 years of people-management experience.
- Strong understanding of returns workflows, inventory control, quality standards, productivity management, and operational KPIs.
- Proven ability to lead supervisors, team members, and temporary employees in a high-volume environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, conflict-resolution, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with WMS, ERP, inventory, or similar operational systems.
- Hands-on, results-oriented management style with strong ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work on-site, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds, and support overtime, weekends, or adjusted schedules during peak periods.
- Experience with electronics returns, staffing agencies, new warehouse launches, or SOP development is preferred.
