Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to practicing high-quality medicine, values a collaborative team environment, and is passionate about reducing fear, anxiety, and stress in patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical exams and diagnostics for small animal patients
- Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans with clear client communication
- Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures (based on experience)
- Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with hospital standards
- Educate clients on preventive care, treatment options, and wellness plans
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care
- Uphold Fear Free practices in handling and treatment
- Adhere to AAHA standards of excellence in all aspects of care
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- Active veterinary license (or ability to obtain) in the state of practice
- Proven clinical experience in small animal medicine
- Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills
- Commitment to Fear Free principles and patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Fear Free Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in an AAHA-accredited practice
- Interest in continuing education and professional development
