What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Runner position at Blue Nami @ Orangevale?
We are looking for an experienced and energetic food runner who would be responsible for serving food to the correct guests at their tables in a timely manner and maintaining a full knowledge of the menu and table numbers. This position can potentially lead to promotion to waiter/server positions.
Essential Job Functions
• Understands the importance of adhering to high customer service standards
• Ensures that orders are complete and food looks appealing before being served to a guest
• Ensures that all food is delivered to guest in a timely manner
• Maintains excellent knowledge about menu items and ingredients
• Maintains knowledge of all table numbers
• Ensures that all server stations are cleaned and organized
• Performs all opening, running, and closing duties
• Other duties as requested by manager
Position Requirements
• Posses a positive attitude and work well with other team members
• Be able to work positively under pressure in a fast paced time sensitive restaurant environment
• Excellent critical thinking and time management skills
• Be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
• Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed
• Be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations to avoid imminent danger to self and others
• Must have the physical abilities to carry out the functions of the job descriptions
