Job Summary
The Production Supervisor leads the production team during all jobs. They are responsible for ensuring that all jobs are completed according to regulations and standard operating procedure. They also supervise the Production Team and work with Quality Assurance to accurately complete all jobs. The Production Supervisor has major interaction with all members of the team and must coordinate with everyone to ensure that all jobs are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Tasks & Responsibilities
· Supervise the quality and productivity of all production orders
· Lead the team to work in harmony at a fast pace
· Responsible to accurately complete Packaging Records
· Submit batch records, extra labels, & reconciliation form to QA no later than 1 day after finishing a job
· Responsible to keep the production team busy at all times
· Monitor productivity to evaluate if there are any changes/improvements needed to be more productive
· Have the team assist with cleaning assignments - only as directed
· Communicate with Operations Manager no less than 30 min. before finishing a job
· Make sure to have next job or assignment ready for the team before they are done with the job they are working on
· Maintenance, Production Supervisor, and Team Leads share the responsibility of turning line equipment on and off during the day
· Coordinate employee lunches according to the number of employees and production needs
· Complete and submit the Daily Production Tracker next morning for the previous day
· Train the Team Leads and Production Team on all job-related SOPs
Expectation
· Ensure that the Production Team is always doing production work
· The warehouse janitorial work is not part of the Production Teams’ job
· The production line starts at 7:05am and doesn’t stop until 3:20pm.
o The line may stop for breaks, lunches, or quality & production issues only
o Have the team stop at the end of the day no earlier than 3:20 - they should stop working gradually as Quality Assurance requires that no filled bottles be left in the room overnight
· Treat everyone with respect and absolutely no yelling at any employee
· Be firm on your delegations, but kind and respectful to everyone
· At the end of the shift make sure all components and product are covered per GMP
