Position Summary
The Revenue Integrity Analyst / Specialist is responsible for protecting and optimizing organizational revenue through accurate charge capture, compliant billing practices, data analysis, and continuous process improvement. This role ensures alignment between clinical documentation, charging, coding, and billing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations. The position serves as a subject matter expert and cross‑functional partner across clinical, revenue cycle, finance, compliance, and information systems teams. Actively participates in the department’s performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
Responsible for reviewing and performance monitoring of contractual agreements that support the organization’s clinical, financial, and operational objectives. This position ensures contracts are structured, interpreted, and maintained in compliance with applicable healthcare regulations while aligning reimbursement terms, service expectations, and risk provisions with organizational strategy.
The role partners closely with finance, revenue cycle, compliance, and operational leaders to support accurate reimbursement, mitigate risk, and optimize contract performance across payer, provider, and vendor agreements.
In addition, the role will administer the hospital’s charity care and financial assistance programs to ensure eligible patients receive appropriate support in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. This role serves as a patient advocate by conducting financial screenings, processing applications, and coordinating with revenue cycle and patient financial services teams to apply assistance accurately and timely. The Charity Care Coordinator ensures compliance with federal, state, and nonprofit guidelines while providing compassionate education and guidance to patients and families experiencing financial hardship.
Education, Experience & Certification/Licensure
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to type 50 words per minute with accuracy.
Preferred:
- 3 years of revenue integrity analytics
