About the Role:
Blue Mountain Home Healthcare Lehigh Valley is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) / Direct Care Worker (DCW) to join our growing team in Allentown, PA. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in a home care setting
- Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
- Maintain accurate care documentation and follow individualized care plans
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients at all times
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a PCA, DCW, HHA, CNA, or caregiver preferred
- Genuine compassion, patience, and dedication to client-centered care
- Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes in the Lehigh Valley area
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred
