What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clubhouse Maintenance Assistant position at Blue Mound Golf and Country Club?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Maintenance Assistant directly works for the Facility Maintenance Manager. Applicant will assist in the Club House Building Maintenance operations and with various projects to ensure efficient project completion. Being adaptable to your environment and the work to be done will be crucial. This position does not supervise anyone.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
Works closely with Facility Maintenance Manager, Assistant Club Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Executive Chef, Sous Chef(s), Bar Manager, Membership Communications and Events Manager, General Manager.
PERSONALITY / WORK TRAITS: Passion for helping others, even tempered, trouble shooter, problem solving skills, attention to detail, professional work ethic, honesty and integrity.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work 40 hours week and overtime if needed.
- Must have a minimum of two years’ working experience in building maintenance.
- Must be able to work some weekends.
- Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers when needed.
- Proficient physical shape- able to lift 25 lbs. regularly.
- Able to work on ladders and scaffolding.
- Must be a good communicator, both verbally and written.
- Task oriented person who is a self-starter.
- English reading proficiency.
- Safety-focused mindset.
- Mechanical knowledge.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be familiar and follow Club’s policies and procedures that are relevant to your specific position or as a general employee of the Club, as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Training Manuals, and Written Standards of Performance.
- Adhere to all OSHA and State and Local Health Department standards.
- Maintains a safe and clean work shop.
- Assist with all other projects as required.
- Maintain all building lighting.
- Service HVAC unit air filters.
- Periodic cleaning of windows and carpet.
- Have a basic “Handy Person” mentality.
- Basic knowledge of building systems such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Maintain golf cart fleet.
- Help with function set-ups.
- Organizing various department areas.
- Ability to safely operate power tools.
- Perform all other duties as needed that are assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager or the General Manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to work safely in any condition.
- Able to work in a busy environment and multi task and stay safe and focused.
- Must be able to do repetitive movement along with but not limited to bending, squatting, stooping, scrubbing, pushing, pulling, stirring, reaching, lifting, sitting, writing, typing, twisting.
Salary : $20 - $23
