Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) as we are growing in multiple states and expanding our provider network for our out patient clinics model (Telehealth - Clinic) across the country , where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health services to diverse patient populations. You will assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions while ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care across various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and telehealth platforms.
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and physical examinations to evaluate mental health status and physiological factors affecting well-being.
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and regulatory guidelines.
- Administer and monitor psychotropic medications, including injections and IV infusions, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and DEA regulations.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Cerner or etc.) for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical records, and treatment progress.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines—psychiatrists, primary care providers, social workers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Provide patient education on mental health conditions, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and behavioral health strategies.
- Engage in telehealth services to expand access to mental health support, utilizing telemedicine platforms effectively for remote assessments and follow-up care.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner with specialization in psychiatry or behavioral health; experience working with children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or etc.; familiarity with medical documentation standards including ICD-10/ICD-9 coding and CPT coding.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration techniques, and drug enforcement regulations related to prescribing controlled substances.
- Background in diverse clinical settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric units, emergency rooms, or telehealth environments.
- Able to provide counselling and can handle the crisis situations as needed basis.
- Skills in patient assessment, physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and diagnostic evaluation are essential for delivering high-quality mental health care.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards and healthcare laws.
- Must have valid state license and DEA/CDS license.
- Must have minimum six months experience.
