What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Delivery Driver position at Blue Marlin Ice LLC.?
Blue Marlin Ice is looking for a reliable, physically capable delivery driver to join our team. You will be delivering 2,000-3,000 bags of ice daily during peak season, loading product onto a dolly at 400-800 lbs at a time, and bringing it into customer storage areas including ice machines and walk-in freezers. You will be in and out of the truck throughout the day and must be comfortable working in heat and wet environments. Our drivers interact with customers, potential customers, and vendors on every route — you are the face of our company at every stop.
Responsibilities
- Deliver ice product to customers safely and efficiently throughout your route
- Load and unload product using a dolly, moving 400-800 lbs at a time
- Transport product into customer storage areas including walk-in freezers and ice machines
- Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor with customers and vendors throughout the day
- Adapt to schedule changes including early starts and late finishes as needed
- Work Saturdays and nights/weekends during summer months
Requirements
- Clean 5-year driving record — no DUI
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
- Drug-free — drug screening required
- Basic math skills
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and Saturdays (mandatory)
- Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work safely in heat and wet conditions
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. As the season heats up, so does your schedule.
