About Us
Blue Marine Seafood is a growing seafood importer and distributor serving sushi restaurants, wholesalers, and retail customers throughout Southern California. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Seafood Operations Coordinator to help manage our daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer and vendor emails professionally and promptly
- Arrive at work at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM to support daily operations
- Create customer invoices using QuickBooks
- Assist with seafood purchasing and procurement
- Monitor inventory levels and perform accurate inventory counts
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and drivers to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain organized records and documentation
- Follow food safety and quality assurance procedures
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience using QuickBooks for invoicing
- Experience with inventory counting and inventory management
- Purchasing or procurement experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts (3:00 AM–4:00 AM start)
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and general computer applications
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
Preferred:
- Current HACCP Certification
- Industry Experience: Background in seafood, food distribution, grocery, or food manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Sushi Restaurant Experience: Prior experience as a Sushi Chef, waiter, or waitress is a major plus.
- Seafood Knowledge: Familiarity with various types of sushi-grade seafood is a strong advantage.
- Bilingual (English plus Chinese, Korean or Spanish) is a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
$5,000–$6,000 per month (depending on experience)
