Inventory Control Associate

This person will be responsible for assisting the Materials Manager with various Receiving, Shipping, Kitting, and inventory management / inventory accuracy tasks. This position will require the candidate to work on site. Prior professional Inventory experience is not required, but the ideal candidate will have an aptitude and eagerness to learn. The candidate must be a self-starter with great time management skills and very strong attention to detail.ResponsibilitiesAssist with pulling kits for Work Orders and Subcontract POsAssist with Shipping and Receiving (including preparation of documentation, packaging, and coordination with carriers)Perform initial Receiving Inspection review to ensure correct documentation is present and complete prior to handoffTrack and follow up on items due for Receiving Inspection from Engineering to ensure they are processed on timeManage stock room organization and cleanliness in accordance with 5S standards.Maintain inventory data and perform cycle countsEnsure Safety Stock and Kanban stock levels are maintainedSupport Operations and Administrative staff as neededIdentify and report inventory discrepancies, and support root-cause investigationsQualificationsBachelor's Degree preferred but not requiredExperience with ERP, especially SAP or SAP B1, preferred but not requireStrong attention to detail, particularly in reviewing documentation for accuracy and completenessHighly self-motivated and proactiveStrong attention to detailExcellent MS Office skills, primarily Excel (experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs preferred)Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organizationExcellent organizational and recordkeeping skills, including confidential informationMust be able to meet strict deadlines and manage competing prioritiesMust be a US Person (This position has export control and security-related requirements that mandate attention to the citizenship status of any potential candidate and necessitates that the individual either be a United States Citizen, Permanent Resident of the United States, or lawfully admitted into the United States as a refugee or granted asylum by the United States Government.)About Blue Marble CommunicationsBlue Marble Communications designs and manufactures high-performance RF, free-space optical, and network communications modules and systems for deployment onboard satellites and other space vehicles.
