Responsibilities

  • Serve legal documents to individuals, businesses, and government agencies in accordance with state and local laws.
  • Accurately complete affidavits of service and other documentation required by courts.
  • Plan and execute service attempts, including locating individuals if necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of service attempts, dates, times, and locations.
  • Communicate regularly with Blue Light Investigations team regarding service status and outcomes.
  • Ensure all interactions are professional, respectful, and in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Use technology (e.g., mobile apps, GPS, time-stamping) to log and report on service attempts.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Must be registered or certified as a process server in [Insert State/County, if applicable], or willing to obtain certification.
  • Previous experience as a process server or in a related legal services field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and process-serving laws.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle potentially sensitive or confrontational situations with professionalism.

  • Background in law enforcement, private investigations, or legal support.
  • Tech-savvy with ability to use service-tracking applications and reporting tools.
