Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises using CCTV surveillance systems and physical inspections to deter unauthorized access and prevent theft or vandalism
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) to identify suspicious activity and respond promptly to potential threats or incidents
- Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and employees, controlling access points with professionalism and strict adherence to security protocols
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies by providing first aid or CPR when necessary, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as required
- Manage conflict situations with calmness and confidence, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense scenarios
- Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records accurately documenting all activities and incidents during your shift
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing proactive measures to protect company assets
Skills
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields demonstrating discipline and situational awareness
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies
- Certified in CPR and First Aid to provide immediate assistance during medical emergencies
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure
- Familiarity with security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response plans
- Ability to communicate clearly and assertively with team members, visitors, law enforcement officials, and emergency responders
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal regulations governing security operations
