Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, possess excellent customer service skills, and be proficient in various POS systems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment, providing memorable dining experiences in both fine dining and casual settings. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with food safety standards are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast and OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Ensure proper sanitation and food safety procedures are followed during food handling and serving
- Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Maintain guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to uphold the restaurant’s standards of service excellence
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast or OpenTable is advantageous
- Experience in food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing processes
- Knowledge of upselling techniques and sales strategies to enhance guest experience and revenue generation
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Prior host/host or bussing experience can be beneficial for understanding restaurant flow and guest needs
