Play Cafe Team Member (Part-Time)

Blue Jay Play Cafe is looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused team member to join our growing team.

We're more than a coffee shop and more than an indoor playground. We create a welcoming space where families can connect, children can play, and parents can enjoy quality coffee and community. Because of that, we're looking for someone who takes pride in creating exceptional customer experiences and doesn't need to be constantly told what to do.

Must be available to work weekends on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming experience.
• Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and light cafe offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the cafe and play areas.
• Assist with memberships, check-ins, and customer questions.
• Monitor the play space and help ensure a safe environment.
• Restock supplies and complete cleaning tasks throughout the day.
• Identify and complete needed tasks without waiting to be assigned.
• Support special events, classes, and birthday parties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Barista experience is a plus, but not required.

Not a Good Fit If:

• You're frequently on your phone during work hours.
• You prefer waiting for instructions instead of taking initiative.
• You struggle with punctuality or reliability.
• You are uncomfortable interacting with customers throughout your shift.
