Duties

• Safely operate a 26-foot box truck on long-distance routes, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with maintenance standards.
• Manage delivery schedules efficiently by planning optimal routes using mobile devices and route driving strategies.
• Load, secure, and unload goods accurately, ensuring proper weight handling practices and safe lifting procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering products professionally and addressing any delivery-related questions or concerns.
• Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and delivery documentation in compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier roles involving box trucks or similar vehicles.
• Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation such as forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and safe lifting practices for heavy loads.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices for load & unload activities.
• Ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations while maintaining a positive attitude on the road.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional appearance and communication style.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for operating a non-CDL box truck; a clean driving record is essential.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly throughout shifts.

Pay: $1,200.00 per week
