Job Summary

Blue Hills Skie Area is seeking an experienced, safety-conscious Shuttle Bus Driver with a valid Class A or B CDL and passenger endorsement to provide safe and reliable transportation for guests and employees across the resort parking lots. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for operating shuttle buses, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all passengers, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and service in a dynamic, winter environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a shuttle bus to transport guests, employees, and visitors between our satellites parking lots
• Ensure timely, efficient, and comfortable shuttle service with a strong focus on customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Provide excellent service to guests, assisting with questions, equipment, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition, checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, and other essential components.
• Follow all state and federal regulations, as well as resort-specific safety policies, including seat belt usage, speed limits, and no-smoking rules.
• Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or safety concerns to the transportation supervisor or manager immediately.
• Assist with snow removal from bus platforms or parking areas as needed.
• Keep accurate records of vehicle inspections, trip logs, and incident reports.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times while interacting with guests and team members.
• Work in varying weather conditions, including snow, ice, and low visibility.
• Provide support in emergency situations, assisting with evacuation or other safety measures as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Parking Manager

Qualifications

• Required:
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
• Ability to operate large vehicles safely in mountainous or challenging terrain, including snow and icy roads.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to operate 12- to 30-passenger buses.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and regulations.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Previous experience as a shuttle bus driver, public transportation driver, or similar role in a resort or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of winter driving techniques and safe vehicle operation in snowy conditions.
• Ability to assist passengers with special needs or mobility challenges.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 30 pounds (e.g. ski equipment).
• Ability to assist passengers in and out of the shuttle bus as needed.
• Ability to work in cold, snowy, and mountainous conditions.

Work Environment

• This position will require working outdoors in various weather conditions, including snow, rain, and cold temperatures.
• Work schedule may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak ski season.
