Job description
The Blue Heron is looking for a cashier! We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and honest person that is committed to outstanding customer service. Weekends & Holidays are a must as well as flexibility for scheduling. You will need to have or obtain a food handlers certificate as well as an OLCC certificate. This position requires being able to sell alcohol, so ages 18 & up is needed.
All employees must pass a background check & have ID & Social security card or a passport readily available.
Must be able to work weekends!!
Cashier experience is preferred, but we will provide training!
Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter store
- Maintain positive attitude and customer relations
- Operate a Point of Sale system
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- General cleaning and maintenance of sales area
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Take direction well
- Ability to stand for 7 or more hours.
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to multitask
- EXCELLENT customer service skills
- Ability to run a POS system accurately
- Ability to work alone or with a team
