What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Blue Heron Construction Services?
Blue Heron Construction is the premier roofing and general contracting company in Southwest Houston and the Greater Houston area. With over 25-years of experience in the industry, we are looking to expand our team and grow our business.
We are currently searching for a Project Manager. This individual will be in charge of running our crews, setting up projects, and more. These projects include roofing, flooring, windows, insulation, painting, drywall, bath and kitchen remodeling, etc. Some of the responsibilities are listed below:
Responsibilities
- Coordinate crews, schedule and keep track of projects and keep records on our Acculynx software system
- Inspect potential projects, do measurements, and place orders for materials
- Show up on time and be prompt, specifically on build days and other events
- Do a final walkthrough with clients when a project is completed. Complete touch-up jobs as necessary
- Find new subcontractors such as roofers, painters, carpenters, etc. to help assist in completing your projects
- Document and take photos of projects. Before, during, and after photos
- Other responsibilities may apply
Must be able to
- Have reliable transportation and travel around the Houston area
- Be comfortable with consistent face to face customer interaction
- Climb a ladder and get on a roof
- Lift at least 40 lbs.
- Have an independent nature, self-discipline, and good time management
- Have a smartphone capable of taking pictures/video
Who we are looking for
- An individual with experience in construction, specifically someone who has done handyman work or roofing or other types of maintenance work
- Not afraid to get dirty on the job and do minor repairs themselves
- A problem solver. Does not get overwhelmed by the situation and makes things happen
- Will lead a team of contractors, not just manage them
- Speaking Spanish is a huge plus
