What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Superintendent/Swimming Pool Construction position at BLUE HAVEN POOLS?
- JOB DESCRIPTION
- Manage the construction of quality pools within budget and in a timely manner
- Attention to detail and persistent follow-up
- Read blueprints and construction documents
- Oversee Subcontractors and maintain quality control
- Daily check-ups on your pools in construction and communicate with office staff
- Ensure inspections and other municipal requirements are followed
- Communicate effectively with Team and Subcontractors
- Communicate with customers regarding next steps and expectations
- Perform pre-site evaluations to ensure that any site concerns are addressed prior to construction
- Responsible for resolving all issues that arise on a project in a timely and effective manner within company policies. Involve management in elevated issues
- Ability to troubleshoot issues yourself in order to keep your customers happy
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the swimming pool industry as a Field Superintendent or 5 years Previous pool/spa construction experience
- EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Ability to overcome customer objections
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Ability to solve problems and make independent decisions
- Ability to manage multiple projects and people simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and utilize the mathematical skills required during the construction process including understanding construction plans and blueprints
- Ability to recognize and follow priorities and recommend viable options in correcting errors paying close attention to detail related to construction management
- Ability to communicate with the customers and vendors effectively and professionally in English. (Some knowledge in Spanish is also preferred but not necessary)
- Team player with leadership abilities
- Other projects and duties as required/assigned
- Produce and maintain accurate construction files including contract addendums, revised plans, incident reports, material selections, etc.
- Drivers License and clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and ability to work weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
