Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and experience working in food and beverage environments. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring an exceptional experience for every customer.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages using professional equipment.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS with accuracy for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Handle food safety procedures, including proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation standards.
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas.
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with food preparation when required.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery.
- Promote sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.
Requirements
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in serving or food preparation roles is advantageous.
