CNC Machine Operator Level II

Blue Grass Metals (BGM) is seeking Machine Operator Level 2 for 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) Monday thru Friday work week!

We are looking for a Quality Technician who will also work and display these core values and join the BGM team!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Set up and operate machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining quality and machine uptime.

b. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by reducing clutter and organizing workspace.

c. Understand and adhere to all customer quality requirements. Checks parts according to quality sample plan.

d. Efficiently operate equipment by understanding all cycle times and run rates. Make proper adjustments in order to maintain production goals while maintaining safety and quality. Alerts your lead or supervisor if production rates cannot be met. Prepare the area for “next job up” as needed.

e. Works closely with other employees in their area and does 2nd audits throughout their scheduled shift. Performs other duties as required.

f. Operate material handling equipment to move materials as needed.

g. l. Works productively on various types of equipment and processes where needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

a. Must be able to operate equipment in a safe and productive manner.

b. Must be flexible and willing to help in different areas of the operation and overtime as required.

d. Must have skills or ability to be trained to manipulate to produce parts in a high output production environment Ability to safely operate or be trained to and material handling equipment.

e. Able to obtain the proper transportation and determination to arrive to your work area per your schedule.

f. Must be able to clean and tidy work area and clean up after oneself.

g. Must be able to stand, walk, and lift, up to 35-40 pounds repeatedly for an 8-hour shift. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for an 8-hour shift.

h. Must be on time and present for your scheduled shift time at your assigned work area. Assists with workload planning through providing additional hours if needed in order to meet customer needs.
