What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Instructor/Lifeguard, Receptionist Assistant (PT/FT) position at Blue Gems Swim School?

REQUIREMENTS:
- Passion for working with children and helping them succeed
- Previous experience not required – training and certification will be provided in-house/off-site
- Ability to work in the water for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for longer periods of time
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide swim instructions based on the Blue Gems Swim School curriculum
- Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
- Assess pre-lesson and post-lesson progress according to the swim level objectives provided, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner
- Check-in and organize students for proper class placement within the pool deck area, ensure students enter and exit class on-time as well as keep area clean, safe and organized for families.
- Place and remove lane lines, perform light cleaning duties around pool deck
- Present professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service
- Perform Lifeguard duties
- Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
- Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
- Assist with closing and securing the facility
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour
