Company Introduction
Lylla Modular Homes, established in 2025 by Blue Frontier Properties, is a new company with an automated production line for light gauge steel structure modular homes. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to manage our manufacturing facility in Barstow, CA.
Position Summary
This is a full-time job in Barstow, California.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction, manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a diverse workforce.
The Superintendent will be responsible for the overall management of our modular home manufacturing plant. This role involves overseeing all production activities, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Superintendent will be a key leader in our company, responsible for meeting production targets, managing the production schedule, and optimizing workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Oversee the entire production process of light gauge steel modular homes, from raw material intake to final assembly. Manage production schedules and ensure all deadlines are met efficiently.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a large team of production workers. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment while promoting safety and adherence to company policies.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure every modular home meets company standards and all relevant building codes.
- Safety & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety. Develop and enforce safety protocols and ensure the facility operates in compliance with all OSHA and company regulations.
- Resource Management: Manage the allocation of labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. Coordinate with supply chain to ensure a continuous flow of materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the manufacturing process to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall product quality.
- Communication: Act as a central point of contact for the production team, and communicate regularly with senior management on production status, challenges, and successes.
Qualifications
- Experience: More than 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or construction management role, preferably within the modular, prefabricated, or steel construction industry.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and Spanish is a plus.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of light gauge steel framing, automated production lines, and general construction principles.
- Leadership: Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large teams.
- Education: A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: OSHA 30 certification is highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address production challenges effectively.
