What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Design Project Manager position at Blue Frog?
Design Project Manager
Blue Frog builds successful healthcare businesses — start to finish. We're looking for the person who owns the design process from first sketch to permit-in-hand, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks along the way.
What you'll own:
- Pre-Sales & Feasibility — Site measurements, test fits, Revit coordination, and feasibility packages that give clients (and our sales team) a clear picture before contract.
- Design Coordination — Manage contracts, schedules, and scope across civil, MEP, structural, architectural, and interior design consultants. Keep drafting — in-house or outsourced — moving on time.
- Client Relationships — Be the steady, honest voice for doctors through the whole design process. Consistent meetings, documented decisions, no surprises on timeline or permitting.
- Schedule & Billing — Own the project schedule from kickoff to turnover. Track milestones, flag dependencies early, keep billing triggers on track.
- Estimating & Permitting — Partner with estimators on budget and value engineering. Manage the permit process end-to-end, including navigating city/county comments and resubmittals.
- File & Plan Management — Keep server folders and plan sets clean and current so the right drawings are always in the right hands.
You're a fit if you can:
- Juggle a dozen moving pieces — consultants, deadlines, city officials, clients — without dropping the ball
- Tell a client the hard truth about a delay, then hand them the plan to fix it
- Read a set of drawings and know if the design intent, budget, and CD checklist all line up
- Work fluently with Revit, and comfortably manage the humans behind the model
- What you get: A team that believes design is relationships first, construction second — and that honors clients beyond the building.
