Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all store activities, ensuring operational efficiency and high standards of customer service
- Recruit, interview, and train new team members while providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities
- Manage inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and daily financial reconciliation
- Coordinate shift schedules, monitor employee performance, and create a positive team environment through motivating leadership
- Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and inventory management while maintaining accurate records
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a focus on team supervision and operational oversight
- Strong skills in negotiation, customer service, and communication to build lasting relationships with clients and staff
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, interviewing, and recruiting top talent
- Familiarity with retail math, budgeting, sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and POS systems is essential
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail sales or store management roles is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills combined with time management expertise to handle multiple priorities efficiently
