Blue Door Real Estate Group is a Miami-based company operating across residential, commercial, wholesale, construction, and property management services.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Assistant to support our in-house construction team. This role is primarily focused on budgeting, estimating, contracts, and project coordination, supporting projects from planning through execution.
Success in this position means being highly organized, proactive, and able to support multiple projects by maintaining accurate budgets, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role works directly with the Construction Supervisor and plays a key part in keeping projects on track.
Responsabilties:
- Assist in preparing and tracking construction budgets and cost estimates using Excel
- Support project scheduling by coordinating timelines and tracking milestones
- Prepare and organize bid packages, contracts, and project documentation
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to support project execution
- Track project expenses and compare against budgets to ensure cost control
- Maintain organized records of contracts, change orders, and project files
- Assist in monitoring project progress and providing updates to the team
- Support site visits, quality control inspections, and progress reporting when needed
- Assist with proposals, presentations, and general project coordination tasks
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong Excel skills for budgeting and cost tracking
- Understanding of construction processes, estimating, and project coordination
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with Navisworks
- Construction or field experience
