Duties
- Perform injectable procedures such as botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, skin analysis, and suitability evaluations for various cosmetic treatments.
- Educate patients on treatment options, expected outcomes, potential risks, and post-procedure care to ensure informed decision-making.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, triaging concerns, and coordinating follow-up care as needed.
- Assist in developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals while considering underlying health conditions such as cardiovascular or infectious disease histories.
- Uphold strict infection control standards through proper sterilization of equipment and adherence to aseptic techniques during procedures.
Requirements
- Valid RN (Registered Nurse), NP (Nurse Practitioner), or PA (Physician Assistant) license with current certification to perform aesthetic injections.
- Demonstrated experience with botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology related to facial aesthetics and injection techniques.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation.
- Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to educate and reassure diverse populations.
- Experience working within medical environments including hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or specialized aesthetic practices.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, sterile processing, and aseptic techniques essential for safe procedures.
