Blue Daring is looking for an experienced Events Engagement Manager to plan, coordinate, communicate, negotiate and problem solve everything around in-person activations (tradeshows, events, meet-ups, meetings mostly) for one of our key partners. Additionally, we want a systematic thinker who—while they are getting things done—can also build clear processes, checklists, and ways of working that can empower our partners to leverage our work in the future.
This is an 8-month contract during which you will be a full-time team member. You will be in the office (in Chicago) two days a week. Remaining days working from home. Some travel is to be expected.
WE WANT YOU TO HAVE
- 5–10 years of experience managing B2B events and trade shows
- Proven ability to run **multiple events at once**
- Comfortable working directly with trade show organizers, vendors, and sales teams
- A communications professional at heart—clear, concise, and thoughtful
- Strong project management instincts and excellent attention to detail
- A self-starter with good judgment, follow-through, and a positive, grounded presence
- Experience in creative environments is a plus
SO YOU CAN
- Secure and manage B2B event and trade show opportunities, including sponsorships and negotiations
- Manage multiple events at the same time without dropping details
- Work with event organizers to shape the strongest possible presence and experience
- Partner with creative teams to define booth concepts, materials, and on-site execution
- Work closely with sales teams so they’re prepared, aligned, and supported at each event
- Own logistics end to end: shipping, setup, breakdown, return, timing, and budget
- Be the point person. Communicate clearly. Follow through. Solve problems before they become problems
- Build and document trade show processes, playbooks, and checklists as you go
- Support broader communication and brand activations when needed, primarily through events
