As a Coding Solutions Specialist at BCBSWY, you’ll join an incredible team of sharp, collaborative professionals dedicated to keeping our medical policy coding, system programming, and appeals processes running with accuracy, efficiency, and innovation.
In this dynamic role, you’ll take the lead on reviewing, researching, and implementing system updates based on claims, reimbursement guidelines, medical policies, and other key resources. Your work ensures that determinations on medical claims and authorizations are not just correct—but confidently backed by data and thoughtful analysis.
Success here means bringing your critical thinking, your ability to partner with both clinical and non‑clinical teammates, and your talent for clear, effective communication. You’ll also flex your tech skills as you learn and navigate a variety of software tools that support our coding and review processes.
We’re looking for someone with an Associate's degree or equivalent, and while Blue Cross Blue Shield experience is a big plus, we also value backgrounds in data analytics, appeals, or claims processing. Leadership, mentoring, or team‑lead experience will help you shine even brighter.

Our positions are all based in Wyoming. Depending on the department and the position, eligible employees may be offered limited In-Office/WFH flexibility (for those positions that are offered limited WFH, there will be a required number of In-Office days per week/month depending on department). Executive level employees are required to reside full-time in Wyoming.
Our Selection Process:
Typically includes the following (NOTE: process steps may differ depending on role applied for)

- Confirmation of Wyoming residency, intent to become a Wyoming resident, or reasonable commuter distance if Colorado resident.

- Initial interview with Hiring Manager.
- Possible 2nd Interview with Hiring Manager and/or additional Team members.
- Comprehensive Background Check.
