Department Overview

The Quality and Value Based Care area strives to develop a “best in class” service model and experience for our senior population. Our team works closely with other associates and business areas that support Medicare Advantage members in an effort to meet and exceed customer expectations and continue driving toward strategic improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst in Quality and Value Based Care (QVBC) will be responsible for executing the quality improvement process including monitoring of quality indicators, identification of opportunities for improvement, conducting qualitative barrier analysis, collaborating with business areas to implement strategies for improvement. This position will monitor outcomes of key quality indicators including health outcomes, member experience and operational metrics. This position will have in-depth knowledge of quality standards and regulations related to accreditation.

In addition, the position will work collaboratively with the internal team to support research and analysis and incorporate policies and practices to ensure execution of a sound program to maintain integrity of internal procedures. In addition, the position will work collaboratively with business areas to identify opportunities for improvement based on analysis of key quality indicators and monitor the operational impact of initiatives. The incumbent establishes and maintains partnerships with business areas and key personnel in order to fulfill corporate objectives and move toward established quality improvement targets. The incumbent is also responsible for providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to QVBC Analysts.

Summary Of Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience in areas such as the healthcare field, quality improvement strategies, compliance and regulations related to quality and performance, and methods for data analysis techniques and interpretation
  • Experience with project management and continuous improvement, along with organizational and analytical skills in order to independently identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement related to Key Quality Indicators (KQIs)
  • Experience presenting data or information for the purposes of proposal or decision making
  • Experience developing objectives, setting goals and facilitating plans to achieve desired results
  • Strong communication of information skills, both orally and written, along with positive collaboration and excellent interpersonal skills
  • High degree of problem solving and diagnostic skills to be used to develop creative, practical, and cost-effective recommendations for improvement
  • Experience negotiating and integrating conflict-management skills into challenging situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel as required for training, collaboration and education purposes
  • Knowledge of quality improvement strategies and regulations
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques and interpretation
  • Currently have or willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire into this position one or more of the following certifications; Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified in Health Care Quality and Management (CHCQM), or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

Work Location

The work schedule for this position will be hybrid (onsite/remote). Business areas reserve the right to require associates to return to the office as needed, based on performance or other business considerations. A hybrid work schedule is subject to amendment or termination at any time by the Company.
