Accountabilities:
- This position will be responsible for the safe and compliant repair and maintenance of underground mining equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctioning (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic) components required in an expeditious manner.
- Maintain permissibility and repair malfunctioning and down equipment.
- Lock-out/tag-out equipment at power sources.
- Maintain records, of repair and maintenance activities, preventive maintenance activities and work orders and schedule activities.
- COs and Tracking Communication
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years UG maintenance experience
- Ability to pass an electrical, mechanical and hydraulic test
- Able to read and interpret complex blue prints and electrical and hydraulic circuits schematics.
- Know the standard operating procedures for the installation of electrical power distribution boxes and systems.
- Know the lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Know how to energize, de-energize and operate underground equipment.
- Knowledge of lubrication and service requirements.
- Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations.

WV Underground Miner’s Certification
WV/MSHA Underground Electrical Certification
