What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwright Foreman position at Blue Collar Services?
Millwright Foreman / Supervisor
Ainsworth, NE (Relocation assistance available)
$25–$40/hr bonuses full benefits
$25–$40/hr bonuses full benefits
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Millwright Foreman who leads from the front, keeps jobs moving, and takes ownership of how projects turn out — not just their piece of it, but the whole job.
This role is for someone who can manage a crew, stay organized with multiple moving parts, and communicate clearly with both the team and the customer. You’ll be in the field, not behind a desk — working alongside your crew, solving problems in real time, and making sure things get done the right way.
You won’t have someone watching over every decision, so being reliable, level-headed, and consistent matters. The right person here earns respect by how they show up, how they handle challenges, and how they support their team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage crews of 3–8 on active job sites
- Oversee installs, repairs, and maintenance of material handling equipment
- Coordinate daily work between the field, office, and customer
- Perform and oversee welding and fabrication work
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and keep projects moving forward
- Operate or learn to operate boom trucks and lifting equipment
- Maintain safety standards and keep jobs on schedule
- Set the tone for the crew — work ethic, communication, and quality
What You’ll Get
- Competitive hourly pay ($25–$40/hr based on experience)
- Bonus opportunities (including annual/holiday bonuses)
- Health insurance
- 401(k)
- Paid time off
- Relocation assistance
- A stable company with consistent work
- Opportunity to grow as the company continues to expand
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience in millwright work, fabrication, or industrial installation
- Previous leadership experience (foreman, lead, or similar)
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with both crews and customers
- Willingness to step in wherever needed to get the job done
- CDL (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to learn or operate heavy equipment
Nice to have:
- Experience with CAD or drawings
- Background in agriculture or material handling equipment
What Makes Someone Successful Here
- Takes responsibility for the outcome of the job, not just their role
- Keeps the team moving without creating unnecessary tension
- Willing to jump in and help instead of just directing
- Communicates clearly — especially when things don’t go as planned
- Stays steady under pressure and finds solutions instead of excuses
Salary : $25 - $40
