Duties
- Supervise front-of-house staff including servers, hosts, bartenders, and support team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Train and develop team members in customer service excellence, food handling, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and safety protocols.
- Oversee food preparation coordination with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety standards.
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlist procedures to maximize seating efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions, perform cash handling duties accurately, and reconcile POS reports at shift end.
- Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies, assist with ordering, and control waste to optimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices across all front-of-house operations.
- Lead staff scheduling, shift management, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated team environment.
- Address guest concerns promptly with professionalism and enthusiasm to resolve issues effectively.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, sales goals, promotional activities, and overall restaurant performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry; casual dining or fine dining experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management principles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise essential.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, development, and team management.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations positively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and food production processes.
